Terms of Use

Effective August 8, 2026. Contact: Jacob Walker (jacobwalker@walkerjacob.com). These terms cover walkerjacob.com, Hub (hub.walkerjacob.com), and related services that power them (together, the “Service”).

By requesting access, creating an account, signing in, uploading content, posting comments, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms and the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Nature of the Service

WALKERJACOB.SYSTEM is a personal site with a members Hub for friends and collaborators (access by invite or approved request). It is provided as-is for private use. Accounts are not a public entitlement; access may be granted, limited, or revoked if needed.

2. Eligibility

  • You must be at least 13 years old
  • You must provide accurate information when requesting access or signing up
  • You are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for activity under your account

3. Accounts and invites

  • Signup needs a one-time invite after approval (or an invite Jacob sends you directly)
  • Friend accounts have a storage limit; going over it may pause uploads until space is freed
  • Accounts may be disabled or deleted for abuse, inactivity, security, or operational reasons
  • You may delete your own account from Account settings. Sign-in stops immediately; we retain your account data for 30 days, then permanently delete it (see the Privacy Policy). Contact the operator during that window if you need restoration. Operator hard deletes may be immediate.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Upload or share illegal content, or content you do not have rights to share
  • Distribute malware, attempt unauthorized access, scrape aggressively, or disrupt the Service
  • Harass others, spam, or use DMs/comments for abuse
  • Circumvent invite, rate-limit, captcha, or visibility controls
  • Use the Service for commercial spam, unsolicited advertising, or high-volume public hosting without permission
  • Upload sexual content involving minors, or any content that exploits or endangers children

You are responsible for share links you create. Treat unlisted/private links as secrets; anyone with a working link may download the file.

5. Your content

  • You retain ownership of content you upload
  • You grant the operator a limited license to host, store, process, display, and transmit that content as needed to operate the Service and honor the visibility you select
  • Public site content authored by the operator remains the operator’s intellectual property unless otherwise stated
  • You represent that your uploads and comments do not infringe others’ rights

6. Comments

Public comments may be moderated, delayed, or removed. Optional email on comments is for moderation only and is not published. Do not post personal data about others without a lawful basis or their consent.

7. No payments

The Service does not currently charge fees. If paid features are ever added, separate terms will be provided before any charge.

8. Availability and changes

The Service may change, break, or shut down without notice. Features, quotas, and invite rules may change. There is no uptime guarantee.

9. Disclaimer of warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE,” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. You use the Service at your own risk.

10. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE OPERATOR IS NOT LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATING TO THE SERVICE IS LIMITED TO THE GREATER OF (A) AMOUNTS YOU PAID THE OPERATOR FOR THE SERVICE IN THE PRIOR 12 MONTHS (CURRENTLY $0) OR (B) USD $50.

11. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold the operator harmless from claims arising out of your content, your misuse of the Service, or your violation of these Terms, to the extent permitted by law.

12. Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. Self-serve account deletion ends access immediately and retains account data for 30 days before permanent deletion, as described in the Privacy Policy. The operator may suspend or terminate access immediately for violations of these Terms or for any other reason, and may hard-delete data without that retention window when needed for abuse, security, or operations. Provisions that by nature should survive (including ownership, disclaimers, and limitations) survive termination.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States applicable to the operator’s principal place of business, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except where mandatory local consumer law applies. Disputes will be brought in courts competent for that place, except where prohibited.

14. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms by posting a new version with a new effective date. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance. If you disagree, delete your account and stop using the Service.
